We are all in control of our destiny, however we only get there when we take control (God has given us dominion). A Unknown Wise Man once said, “So if you want a thing bad enough, go out and fight for it, work day and night for it, give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it.  If life seems useless without it, and it’s all that you scheme and you dream about; If gladly you’ll sweat for it, fret for it, plan for it, and lose all your terror of opposition for it; If you’ll simply go after that thing that you want.  With all your Capacity, Strength and Sagacity, Faith, Hope and Confidence, stern Pertinacity; If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt, Nor sickness nor pain of body or brain can turn you away from the thing that you want; If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it, WITH THE HELP OF GOD YOU GET IT”!

 

 

Whatever you are trying to achieve in life, whether it’s in the secular or in the church, it won’t come to pass without struggle.  In the words of former President Calvin Coolidge, “Press on; nothing can take the place of persistence.  Talent will not, the world is filled with unsuccessful men with talent; Genius will not, unrewarded Genius is almost a proverb.  Education alone will not, the world is filled with educated derelicts, but Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent”!
